Amanda's Biography

Amanda Morra is ready for the world, bringing her fresh new sound to the charts and airwaves. Already having released her first album in Canada and the US in 2009, she is now cultivating her own brand of infectious dance hooks, urban R&B melodies, and intimate ballads set to be released on her sophmore album later this year with Costa Music Inc.

Currently a student of “singyourheartoutvocals.com”, Amanda is also an alumni of such prestigious music schools like: The Canadian Vocal Academy of Music, The Cardinal Carter School of the Arts, Ian Garret (vocal coach), Elaine Overholt (vocal coach), and Lorraine Lawson (vocal coach), who have collectively worked with industry greats like Shania Twain, N’Sync, Tina Turner, and Ray Charles.

Amanda is formally trained in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop and has appeared in a wide range of television commercials, print campaigns, short films and has contributed voice work for several commercial projects. Growing up, Amanda was a proud volunteer and participant in “Wal-Mart Kids”, a signature event for Wal-Mart reinforcing the Company’s commitment to the Children’s Miracle Network and raising funds for children’s hospitals across Canada. Continually giving back while singing and dancing her way forward, Amanda is thrilled to have been a part of charitable concerts and functions hosted for The Heart And Stroke Foundation, Sick Kids Hospital, Hat On For Awareness, and various Breast Cancer Awareness events. Her desire to perform for the public has also led her to sing at the welcome reception for Canada’s Juno Awards in Vancouver, 2009, among her peers.

Amanda’s first single “Dreams” hit the airwaves across Canada in 2009. Her second single “1 and Only” went international, spreading her infectious vibe to the USA and Australia.

Amanda is currently in the studio recording her second album with songwriters and producers from around the world. They have collectively worked with pop stars like Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears, Kylie, and The Backstreet Boys, just to name a few.

Armed with internationally acclaimed top line writer/producer Jasmine Denham (Baird), they have co-written an album that is no less than a massive leap from the first, having now discovered an edge to Amanda’s voice and persona.

The first single “KISSES”, Currently on the US airwaves, is set for worldwide release in the summer of 2010. Paired with a sexy and provocative music video directed by award winning director Cazhmere, “KISSES” is sure to be an international hit
