An independent artist with one goal in mind, become not only great- but respected! Nyck B started making music in 2004. He’s produced, dj’d. “Nyck B is one of the hottest up-incoming artists out the Mid-West”. Living up to all the hype and demand; since December of 2009 Nyck B has accumulated over 10 Million views and plays via NyckBMusic.com.

Currently Nyck is working on many different projects. The newest material was a song entitled “So Swagged Up Featuring Tony Parks”. So Swagged Up was noted to be the 2010 Summer Anthem, and currently is played by Dj’s all over the country as well as on satellite and local radio stations. Nyck has yet to release any official CD’s or mixtapes. He is the type of artist to critique all his work to the fullest.

“Here I Am” was his first solo single and downloaded over 500,000 times in 30 days, of its’ summer release. “Here I Am” was also noted by Dj Bobby Black and major recording artist Gorilla Zoe to be one of the best independent songs in the country. The song was listed and disturbed all over the country on the mixtape “I Am Independent”, hosted by Dj Bobby Black & Gorilla Zoe. Receiving congratulations from BET and major recording artist, has sealed Nyck B’s fate into the music industry for a long time. Nyck B was also featured in FLO Magazine as "One of the Best Artist You've Never Heard Of" in there October 2010 issue.

Today presents Nyck with the opportunity, but difficult process to take his musical talents to a mainstream stage. With the buzz of Nyck growing in the industry it’s providing him with more opportunities to work with plenty Dj’s and artists all over the country.

Born Nicholas Brooks to Catrina Bailey and Jeremiah Davis on November 6th in the city of Macomb, IL. At the age of 11 his family moved to the city Bloomington – Normal still in Illinois. Nyck always had musical ear and talent. He played the trumpet in middle school, and would sing and perform at talent shows in the central Illinois area. Nyck B has be always been open to working with other artist and previously been a part of many different groups. Now taking his career more serious realizing that putting his dreams into his own hands will have a greater effect.

Now you can find Nyck B doing shows and currently in talks with many independent labels. Next will be releasing the well awaited mixtape “A Nyck Brooks Story: The Mixtape”. Followed up with an album. Nyck is definitely a new breed of artist but with passion of any other whom. Nyck B lives by one motto “Sleep is for Dreamers”, referencing his hardworking and stamina to continue to make music.
