Thanks for visiting MySpace. I'll save the story of how "Scaramouche" came to be for another time. My "Electric Car Muse" persona began when I started a truly unique day job selling electric cars at Environmental Motors. During that same noteworthy week I saw a hypothetical yet disturbing scenario on a CNN broadcast called "We Were Warned: Out of Gas" which shook my core. This story left an unforgettable and regrettable impression about our addiction to oil and how we need to create a sustainable and independent future with alternative fuels. Originally from Queens, NY, I started singing, playing guitar and writing songs while still a youth in grade school. After moving to Los Angeles to attend college, I received my BA in Music along with English and Business Minors from the University of Redlands, CA. As a lifelong enthusiast of Top 40 Radio, I also served as DJ and Music Director for the collegiate and community airwaves of KUOR-FM. I've won accolades from Billboard Magazine for "I Knew There Was A Song" and Travel Weekly Magazine for "Caribbean Cruise". My tune "Good Friends" is featured in a documentary "Unconditional Love: The AIDS Heartline Story" and also online in a Pets-For-Vets story video. As an advocate for various social causes, I specialize in themed message music that reflects my humanist values. I write for multiple genres including Pop, Rock, Blues, Country; my lyrics are universal yet tell stories with catchy titles and memorable hooks. A&R folks have said my songs sound like "adverts" and I'm looking forward to those licensing opportunities...

Songwriter, Lyricist, Singer, Publisher, Producer: Trudee Lunden, et al... I'm lucky to work with a wide variety of extremely talented co-writers, musicians, singers, engineers and producers who are "instrumental" in their collaborations. Noteworthy folks include Brian Brazil, Edward Tree, Gary Mallaber, Tom Fair, Sunny Hilden, Jan Linder-Koda, Jimi Yamagishi, Mark "Pocket" Goldberg, Nick Kirgo, Jody Whitesides, David Stone and my first co-writer, John Jorgenson. There are so many brilliant artisans, I can't name them all...I sincerely thank you (and you know who you are!)

I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, from hard rock to opera. I believe music is truly the universal language of humankind, able to strike an emotional chord with or without words. When I watch my cousin's two year old "dance to the music" nonstop, she certainly doesn't understand all the words, but she's sure does dig the sound and it clearly has a huge impact on how she feels! I've found my most accessible songs are a gift from a higher source. Ideas often come to me in flashes of inspiration (especially in the shower!) and simply pour from the spiritual self. Here are just a few of my ultimate all time faves whom I try to emulate: Bands I'd like to meet: The Beatles, Eagles, Allman Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Dixie Chicks, Chicago, CSN&Y, Poco, Fleetwood Mac and Sly & The Family Stone. Artists I'd like to meet: Martina McBride, Cyndi Lauper, Carrie Underwood, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Anita Baker, Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss, Collin Raye, Luther Vandross, Sting, Bryan Adams, Katy Perry, Queen Latifah. Songwriters who inspire me: Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Carole King, Bernie Taupin, Diane Warren, Gary Burr, Gretchen Peters, Tony Arata, Randy Sharp, Craig Wiseman, Jeffrey Steele and Ace Baker (surely I've missed many other great tunesmiths who I admire.) Some favorite songs (that I didn't write!): Born To Run, Imagine, With A Little Help From My Friends, Independence Day, Vogue, Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters, Long Time Gone, Landslide, So Far Away, You've Got A Friend, Space Cowboy, The Joker, Life In The Fast Lane, Get Over It, Ships, Please Come To Boston, Tiny Dancer, I Can't Make You Love Me, Dancin' In The Dark, Here I Am, Whip Appeal, God's Will, Change The World, The End of The Innocence, The Heart Of The Matter, Treat Her Right, Armstrong, All American Girl, High Maintenance Man, The Song Remembers When, Temporary Home and Love, Me.

I suppose TV jingles heavily influenced me since I'm repeatedly told my songs sound like they should be in commercials. (I concur :-) As a lyricist/melodist, my multi-tasking songwriting skills include Country, Rock, Pop, Blues, R&B, Folk, Americana, Dance, Adult Contemporary Ballads, Rap & Children's music. Often theme-based, I compose full songs or just words &/or melodies to recorded tracks, with individual focus & nurtured organic growth based on what's best for each song & project. For me, variety is the spice of life, and all great sounding music is delicious indeed. YUM!
